Drive With Confidence: Roadside Assistance Cover
When you hit the road in New Zealand with Holiday Rental Cars, peace of mind is part of the package. While every rental includes free 24/7 roadside assistance for mechanical issues, you can enhance your coverage with our optional Roadside Assistance Cover — your safety net for those small, unexpected hiccups along the way.
What’s Included as Standard?
All Holiday Rental Cars are backed by the New Zealand Automobile Association (AA) for mechanical or electrical faults. This means if your vehicle breaks down due to an engine, transmission, or other internal failure, help is just a phone call away — at no extra cost.
Why Add Roadside Assistance Cover?
Sometimes it’s not the car — it’s the little things that happen on the journey. Our optional Roadside Assistance Cover protects you from the call-out fees charged by the AA for non-mechanical incidents due to driver error.
Without this cover, you’ll be responsible for paying these charges yourself.
Here’s what’s included:
- Fuel Delivery
Ran out of petrol? We’ll deliver $15 worth of fuel to help get you to the nearest fuel station. - Locked Out or Lost Keys
Whether you’ve locked your keys inside or misplaced them, we’ll send assistance or deliver a spare key to your location. - Flat Tyre Help
Not confident changing a tyre? We’ll send someone to fit your spare so you can get back on the road quickly. - Flat Battery Jump Start
Left the lights on? No worries — a technician will come and jump-start your vehicle so you’re not stuck. - Towing Assistance
If the issue can’t be fixed on the spot, we’ll arrange for your vehicle to be towed to the nearest place of assistance.
