This policy comes with a variable excess amount depending on the vehicle type.If your vehicle is damaged or involved in an accident, you are liable for the full excess amount, regardless of who is at fault. Once the vehicle has been repaired and the actual costs are known, we will refund any difference between the total cost and the excess paid. The excess represents the maximum amount you’ll be charged.
Limited Cover
To reduce your excess liability, you can opt for our Limited Excess Reduction Cover during the booking process by selecting it under the ‘Extras’ section.

This is ideal for added peace of mind while still keeping costs low. As with Basic Cover, you are still liable for the reduced excess even if you were not at fault.
Maximum Cover
Our Maximum Excess Cover provides complete financial protection. By choosing this option, your excess liability is reduced to zero, giving you full peace of mind while driving around Rotorua and beyond.This option can also be selected in the ‘Extras’ step while booking your vehicle. Please note that zero-excess coverage may not be available for all vehicle types.We strongly recommend selecting Maximum Cover Excess Reduction to avoid out-of-pocket costs in the event of damage or an incident.
